Whitianga and Hahei are great starting points for scenic boat trips along the coast and to the Marine Reserve, with glass-bottom and snorkelling too as part of the trips. Diving and snorkelling excursions also run from here. Sea kayaking and sailing are very popular. Paddle boarding is growing rapidly too – try the new 'SUP' trip across to Donut Island.
